this is a great beginner bong. i bought the 8 in. version. smooth, super easy to clean, beautiful color glass. it did have a couple quality-of-life downsides that i had to accommodate for, though. to start, i replaced the default 2.5 in. down-stem with a 3 in. one from the $4.20 shop, because the shorter version required i fill the bong pretty full of water to ensure filtration — and as soon as your ice melts a little, you’ll probably be tasting bong water. secondly, the bowl that it comes with is a little awkward to pack — wide opening, juts out sideways in a way that makes the flower fall out sometimes, but the handle on the side makes it so i can’t put it in the mouthpiece to load it. i replaced this with a simple handle-less bowl (male 14 mm) from the $4.20 shop that fits just fine in the mouthpiece while i load it. for the 8 in. bong, your standard ice cubes probably won’t fit, but go on amazon and search “water bottle ice stick tray” and those narrower cubes work perfectly. the size of this bong also sometimes makes it difficult to see exactly where you’re lighting your bowl, but that’s not surprising, given the small size — certainly something you can get used to.
